I was down, I was down, flowering underground
with a gang of sprigs wriggling in my ears

they were soft, and they were happy,
and they were shining in the dark
they were bubbling to the surface with my tears
In my rise I was weightless, and you were rising at my side
and as we rose, the surface disappeared

Over kingdoms, banners flapping,
thunder clapping through the trees

the shining sprigs springing from my ears



Oh! Beyond the furrowed the wave

I flop into the grave
and I pass beyond the veil
and I chase my fluffy tail into the underworld


I was sharpening my teeth on a root flavoured leaf,
when a flower from the overworld appeared
she was pink and she was violet
and she was severed at the stem;
she was bleeding from her green and leafy beard
We took turns singing verses that would open up the gate
and when it did, her suffering disappeared

Over the kingdoms, banners flapping,
thunder clapping through the trees
the singing flower flew away from here...
